Millions of keywords and phrases are typed into Google every minute. Each phrase and keyword represents its own space on the internet. Each space must be examined very closely. We must compare the competition for each space and the potential volume it brings. Getting this section right is absolutely essential. If not, hundreds and thousands of pounds will be wasted.

Content is KING. The more relative content you have, the more Google sees you as a source of information on the related topic. Each page needs to be highly optimised. Normal practise is to have highly optimised articles produced on a regular basis that is relevant to your market and gives them the information they want to hear.

Links are split up into an enormous array of areas: Social, blogs, articles, reciprocal, thematic, chatter, directories, search engine, trusted site, news, and there are more!
Each page needs a variation of these types of links pointing towards itself with the relevant anchor text.
So there you have it. Getting to the top of Google is relatively simple (no matter what people what to tell you) but it is very time consuming. The initial analysis must be done by an expert and continuous work by many parties is recommended.
